Job 02

Second-fix joinery tidy

The second fix is in, but doors catch on the frame, architraves stand proud of the wall and skirting stops just short of the corner. This visit is about lining the timber up and getting the joins right — not building furniture.

Fitting a white architrave around an interior door frame

Typical jobs

  • Doors and frames that need easing, adjusting or finishing
  • Skirting and architrave with open ends, gaps or uneven returns
  • Raw timber edges left behind after a renovation

After the visit

We finish what fits in the visit and tell you in writing if a second visit or more timber is needed.

Included

  • Second-fix finishing around doors, frames and timber trims
  • Aligning and making good visible joinery joins
  • A written note of remaining joinery, priced if more is needed

Not included

  • Bespoke or built-in furniture
  • Workshop joinery beyond the included visit
